MSLAW Writing Lab
Professor Paula Kaldis, Legal Research & Writing Director

Although many of our classes (and all of our writing classes) are small in size, and students can ask for help from their instructors, this might not be enough for some students. Therefore, the school created a Writing Lab, where students can solicit extra help with particular writing problems they might have.

Staffed by writing professors, the Lab, located in the back of the library in the DEMOSTHENES ROOM, has established hours where students can drop in as desired. Students may receive help in grammar, writing style, organization, how to use legal authority, but they may not use the Lab professors as copyeditors or proofreaders.

If for example, you have given a quiz or exam and have discovered that any of your students might benefit from coming to the lab with their graded work, we can use this paper as a vehicle for improving or understanding their weaknesses.
