Law of E-Commerce

E-Commerce is designed to provide the student interested in electronic commerce with an understanding of key concepts affecting online business transactions. Topics covered include: internet governance, jurisdiction, conflict of laws & contractual choice of forum; power of governments to regulate the Internet, including laws regarding pornography and speech; data security, privacy in Internet activities; sales of goods and B2B sales; intangibles including domain names; digital media; intellectual property including copyright, patents and software licensing; framing; deep-linking; encryption; and computer crime. .

Cyberspace & Internet Law

This course explores legal challenges presented by the Internet, communications and information technologies. We will address, in particular, the interaction of emerging legal and technological rules for the Information Society of the 21st Century. Topics include governance, jurisdiction, intellectual property, privacy and electronic commerce.

PMBR Discount

If you have signed up to be a member of BLSA, and you plan on subscribing to the PMBR Bar review course, you are entitled to a $100 discount on the subscription price.

Please submit your name and e-mail address on a sheet of paper to the BLSA mail box located under the television in the cafeteria. We will be submitting the names of the chapter members to PMBR on Friday April 18.

If you wish to have MSL's BLSA submit your name to qualify for the discount, you must submit your name and email address to the BLSA  mailbox by 12:00 p.m. on Friday April 18.

From Financial Aid
The MSLAW financial aid office will begin to offer an additional $3,000 in graduate plus loans beginning July 1st. Contact Lynn Bowab for more information. Pick up your application for the Plus Loans when you register for classes.
